Tracking-resistant plastic refers to engineered polymer formulations that resist the formation of conductive pathways (tracking) when exposed to electrical stress and contaminants. Safety and Storage
While inherently stable, machining may release fine particles requiring proper dust extraction. Most grades are halogen-free but some formulations contain flame retardants needing special disposal. Storage should prevent exposure to direct sunlight (UV degradation) and extreme humidity. Bulk material should be kept in original packaging until use to prevent surface contamination that could affect performance.
