Overview
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a high-performance fluoropolymer discovered by DuPont in 1938 and commercialized under the Teflon brand. Its unique molecular structure, consisting of carbon atoms fully shielded by fluorine atoms, grants it unparalleled chemical resistance and thermal stability.
