Overview
Shielded Network Cable (SNC) is a specialized Ethernet cable engineered to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk. Unlike unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables, SNC incorporates a metallic foil or braided shield around the conductors, which blocks external noise and ensures reliable data transmission. It is widely used in environments with high electrical noise, such as factories, hospitals, and data centers. SNC is categorized by shielding types, including Foiled Twisted Pair (FTP), Shielded Twisted Pair (STP), and Screened/Foiled Twisted Pair (S/FTP).
