Polypropylene emulsion is a colloidal dispersion of polypropylene particles in water, stabilized by surfactants. As a water-based product, polypropylene emulsion presents lower flammability risks compared to solvent alternatives. However, the alkaline pH (typically 8-9) requires eye protection, and prolonged skin contact should be avoided. Storage stability is generally 6-12 months in original sealed containers at room temperature. Freezing must be prevented as it causes irreversible coagulation. Containers should be gently agitated before use if separation occurs. Disposal should follow local regulations for polymer-containing wastewater.
