While plasticized PPA is non-reactive under normal conditions, overheating during processing (above 350°C) may release volatile compounds. Adequate ventilation and NIOSH-approved respirators are recommended during injection molding or extrusion. Storage requires moisture-proof packaging to prevent plasticizer migration. Pellets should be dried at 80–100°C for 4 hours before processing if exposed to humidity. Shelf life typically exceeds 2 years when stored in original containers below 30°C.
