Magnetic flowmeters (magmeters) are industrial instruments designed to measure the flow rate of electrically conductive liquids in closed pipelines. They leverage Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction, where a magnetic field generated by the meter induces a voltage proportional to the fluid's velocity. Unlike mechanical flowmeters, magmeters have no moving parts, reducing wear and maintenance needs.
