The automotive industry utilizes lubricated polyamide for seat adjustment mechanisms, window regulators, and pedal systems. In consumer products, it appears in zipper sliders, folding mechanisms, and other applications where silent operation and wear resistance are critical.

Safety and Storage

As a processed polymer, lubricated polyamide presents minimal health risks in its final form. However, dust generated during machining operations should be controlled through proper ventilation or wet methods to prevent respiratory irritation. Proper storage involves keeping the material in its original packaging until use to prevent moisture absorption (polyamides are hygroscopic). Bulk quantities should be stored on pallets in climate-controlled warehouses. Shelf life is typically 2-3 years when stored correctly below 40°C and 50% relative humidity.
