Industrial solid lubricants are dry materials designed to minimize friction and wear between mechanical components without liquid carriers. PTFE decomposes above 260°C, releasing toxic fumes, necessitating ventilation in high-temperature applications. Storage should avoid moisture (especially for MoS2, which degrades in humid air) and contamination. Sealed containers in dry, cool areas extend shelf life indefinitely.
