Heat-resistant plastics are engineered polymers that maintain structural integrity at elevated temperatures, typically above 150°C. Unlike standard plastics like polyethylene, these materials resist deformation, chemical degradation, and mechanical failure under thermal stress. Fire safety is enhanced by inherent flame retardancy (e.g., PPS achieves UL94 V-0 rating).
