Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) is a volatile semiconductor memory that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit. Unlike SRAM (Static RAM), DRAM requires periodic refreshing to maintain data integrity, as the capacitors leak charge over time.
