Cement mortar lining (CML) is a proven corrosion protection method primarily used for ferrous pipes in water distribution systems. This technique involves applying a carefully proportioned mixture of cement, sand, and water to the interior surfaces of pipes or tanks. The lining creates an alkaline environment that passivates the underlying metal surface, significantly extending the service life of infrastructure.
